Davis Consulting Solutions’ Methodology
Our methods are an adaptation of The Six Disciplines® Methodology developed by Gary Harpst, author of Six Disciplines® Execution Revolution (https://www.sixdisciplines.com). This is a structured, repeatable methodology, supported by years of research and practical application in organizations.
In order to better understand how DCS can help you, we ask lots of questions, following an approach derived from The Six Disciplines®. This structured approach helps to assure success.
Discipline I: Strategic Vision
Our approach to the first Discipline is designed to help your leadership team express a shared vision of what will distinguish your organization long term. We ask questions such as: What are you good at? Where do you see the company going? What is your vision?
Discipline II: Strategic Change Management
Our approach to the second Discipline is designed to help your leadership team plan how to bring other members of the organization into the mix as you move forward. We ask questions such as: What do you need to change to get from where you are to having the vision unfold?
Discipline III: Operational Alignment
Our approach to the third Discipline is designed to help your organization figure out how to function in the here and now, while stepping into your desired future. We ask questions such as: What do you need to keep the business up and running day-to-day, while starting to implement new strategies at the same time?
Discipline IV: Teamwork Driven Execution
Our approach to the fourth Discipline is designed to help your organization adjust to changes, maintain communication, and focus on your most important priorities. We provide coaching to help keep the ball rolling. We ask questions such as: What low priority activities should you discontinue, in order to focus on high priority activities? How can you build and maintain teamwork?
Discipline V: Continuous Improvement
Our approach to the fifth Discipline is designed to help your organization identify any policy or procedure roadblocks to achieving the desired change. We help you pinpoint improvement opportunities, by analyzing the situation and proposing appropriate solutions. We ask questions such as: How can we turn something that seems like a problem into an opportunity?
Discipline VI: Organizational Development
Our approach to the sixth Discipline is designed to help your organization identify gaps between the way things are and the way you want them to be. We help you evaluate external threats that may hinder change and internal strengths that may advance change. We ask questions such as: How can you minimize the effects of external threats and maximize the power of internal strengths?
All of these processes work together for a strategic assessment of the organization, to determine what is needed to allow for overall success, growth, and keeping up with current trends and practices.
